After the brand new edition in Rome last 5/6 October Architect@Work land in Milan this week!
All 11 editions of Architect@Work organized in 2015 throughout Europe were a huge success.
This unique and exclusive exhibition concept will be back in Milan for the third time on 23th and 24th November 2016,
The exclusive format of Architect@Work says that only innovations that have been approved by a judging panel of architects and interior designers can be showcased during the event.
Every manufacturers present its product innovations in uniform stands/corner units, personalized with aesthetically standards.
The focus of this fair is on the products. A bespoke registration system guarantees that only professionals attend the event: architects, interior designers, engineers and other specifiers. A dedicated lounge and a pop-up bookshop ensure a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
Architect@Work in these two days provides seminars by leading professionals, theme curations and photo galleries.
This year edition feature the exhibition “Re-generation wood” curated by Matrec. Wood has always been a widely used material in the architecture and design sector because of its diverse characteristics, features and properties. The focus on sustainability and the introduction of increasingly stringent international environmental standards have gradually steered the market towards a more controlled use of resources, including wood. This has led to increased protection and “regeneration” of materials. Nowadays, companies, planners and designers are evidently making more sustainable, and environmentally and socially informed design choices. They are also pursuing a choice of materials that enhances the value of products and the lifecycle of materials and encourages the development of the “circular economy.”
In addition to the exhibition there are some interesting seminaries like “Re-generation wood” held by Ing. Giulio Franceschini, “From context to project” Arch. Germán Fuenmayor – Studio Parch, “Architecture as a story” by Arch. Pietro Derossi and “Edges, swings and curves. Elusive balance in architecture” by Arch. Matteo Scagnol from Studio MoDus Architects.
In December Architect@Work will move to Nantes on 1 and 2 December 2016 Parc des Expositions La Beaujoire and in Stuttgart Messe Stuttgart the 7th and 8th.
